Quality courses you can play from one end of the country – Dorset’s Bridport & Dorset – to the other, (Scotland’s magical Murrayshall)… without having to break the bank to tee it up. *Bridport & West Dorset (pictured), Dorset – Intriguing clifftop layout and though not long still provides a sporting challenge, specially the sensational par-3 6th signature hole with the green sitting 90ft below the elevated tee.
*Murrayshall, Perthshire – The Murrayshall course is plotted within 350 acres of prestine Perthshire countryside, the gently undulating layout wonderfully meandering between mature trees and natural burns.
*Linden Hall, Northumberland – Established parkland layout which is always in excellent condition. You’ll particularly relish the challenges of a great set of par-3s, the thrilling par-4 finale and stunning Cheviot Hills views.
*The Wychwood, Oxon – Parkland tranquillity in the Cotswolds though there are some pretty testing holes to overcome, including the par-3 15th protected by a stream. You’ll love putting on the USGA-spec greens.
*Heysham, Lancs – A lengthy, challenging parkland layout with a selection of 400-yards plus par-4s as well as several water hazards, ditches and ponds to negotiate.
*St Pierre, South Wales – Follow in the footsteps of legends like Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman and Bernhard Langer who have all tasted European Tour success here. This parkland masterpiece recently underwent a major refurbishment and spectacularly finishes with a 200-yarder over water.
