Ladies European Tour pro Becky Brewerton to play at Redbourn

Redbourn Golf Club is to welcome Ladies European Tour (LET) professional and former Solheim Cup player, Becky Brewerton, to a morning clinic and golf day on Friday, August 1st.

From 10am, the Welsh-born golfer will be providing guests of the Ladies Yonex Golf Day with a display of her skills and answering questions about her illustrious career, which includes three tour victories and two Solheim Cups. The 31-year-old will talk visitors through basic shot-making, the long game plus chipping and putting, utilising the extensive practice facilities at Redbourn – part of BGL Golf, the UK’s leading golf course owner and operator – which include a 20-bay driving range, short game area and putting green.

The event will also include an opportunity to try and be custom fitted for the latest equipment from Yonex, the day’s sponsor. In the afternoon there is an opportunity for a limited number of golfers to take part in a 9-hole competition on the Ver Course, laid out in lush Hertfordshire countryside where for two holes each fourball will be joined by the four-time Women’s World Cup of Golf player.

We have seen an increase in lady members and visitors at Redbourn since we enhanced the ladies section within our pro shop and it is our hope to continue this trend and give more women access to the game.”

Timetable for the Ladies Yonex Day:
9.30am – Coffee and breakfast pastries available in the Café Bar & Grill
10.00am – Driving and irons clinic, plus Q&A session, in the driving range
10.45am – Short game clinic using the short game area and putting green
11.00am – Custom Fit session for visitors
12.00pm – Light lunch and Pro Shop sale
From 1.00pm – 9-hole competition with each fourball joined by Becky Brewerton for two holes of play
