2009 TaylorMade Burner driver

TG Exclusive!

TaylorMade’s 2007 Burner driver was a massive hit with golfers across the world and that looks set to continue in the very latest 2009 model. We’ve not seen or tried these just yet, but here’s a special sneak preview of the 2009 TaylorMade Burner driver to keep you going!

The 2007 Burner driver introduced TaylorMade’s SuperFast technology, allowing golfers to swing the club faster to produce greater distance. The new Burner driver combines this technology with the Dual Crown design seen in this season’s Tour Burner driver, used successfully by Sergio Garcia during 2008. The combination of the two models results in a great looking driver weighing under 300 grams and assisting high launches, creating faster swing speeds and of course, more distance.

“This club is an easy-to-swing distance machine, and is certain to appeal to every player who’s ever swung hard at a golf ball,” said Harry Arnett from TaylorMade.

The new Burner’s high-MOI titanium head also features Inverted Cone Technology in the back of the face which aids forgiveness on off-centre bashes. We’ve been a big fan of their new Tour Burner this year and the idea of merging it together with the fast and lighter Burner sounds like a great idea. But, will it perform even better than the originals? Keep checking back online to view our first hits video and see what we think.
