TaylorMade will shortly be introducing a new limited addition to its range of irons in the form of these TaylorMade MB TP iron with a special smoky finish.
The muscle-back blade iron, the TaylorMade MB TP, is already being played on tour by numerous players including Retief Goosen and TaylorMade has responded to demand for the iron by bringing out this new look version, similar in finish to their latest Z Groove wedges
TaylorMade's MB TP iron was originally designed with input by tour pros to ensure that the look, feel, control and playability is all in keeping with a tour pro's needs. Visually, the TaylorMade MB TP is characterized by its compact size and distinct shape, which are evocative of TaylorMade's rac TP irons. The new smoke finish is expected to be limited to just a few hundred sets and carry a premium price tag of around £999, although this info is yet to be confirmed.
Forged of carbon steel, the TaylorMade MB TP's muscle-back design is engineered with minimal offset and a high center of gravity (CG) that contributes to the kind of excellent workability and low, controllable ball flight that many tour pros favor in an iron. Enlarged, second-generation rac feel pockets promote softer feel and sound, and the milled face and grooves deliver a consistent spin-rate of spin and trajectory from shot to shot.
