Video review: Srixon Z-TX fairway wood

Srixon may be better known these days as a ball manufacturer but it shouldn’t be forgotten that they also make cracking golf clubs – like the new Srixon Z-TX fairway wood.

Engineered to have a 15 per cent larger sweetspot than previous models, Srixon say the Z-TX is longer, more accurate, forgiving and higher flying than previous models.

They also say it features a sharp leading edge to make the club playable off even the tightest of lies.

However, they would say that, wouldn’t they? So to test out this claim TG equipment editor David Connor and instruction editor Joel Tadman took the club onto the range to try it out.

You can see and hear what they thought by watching the video below.

RRP £199. Available in 15 degree 3 wood and 18 degree 5 wood in RH only and fitted with Diamana mid kick point graphite shafts as standard.
