Ping S57 irons video review

Published:

If you thought Ping only made clubs for game improvers then you obviously haven’t heard about the Ping S57’s.

The S57’s feature a small head and blade-style design which expertly finishes off Ping’s product range and caters for lower handicappers looking for more feel and workability in their clubs.

However, despite the small head, Ping still prides itself on the forgiveness of its irons and this is no different in the S57’s. Probably the most forgiving better-player iron on the market, the S57’s feature a vibration-dampening insert in the back of the club head while still retinaing a high degree of feel and feedback.

In our irons test, golfers noticed the higher flight of the S57’s compared to some other models, which did detract slightly from the distance but for accuracy they were top notch.

Our gear duo – senior equipment editor Jon Greathead and equipment editor David Connor – have also been out on the range to give the S57’s a crack and you can see what they thought by watching the video below.
