Video review: Brand new Wilson Staff FYbrid HS

Wilson Staff have launched a brand new FYbrid HS, to update its extremely popular and successful FYbrid range.

We have long been fans of the FYbrid range – in the hands of a better player they prove extremely versatile and workable and in the hands of a game improver they provide a terrific link between woods and hybrid clubs.

However, if we were to have one criticism it would be that they haven’t tended to be the most forgiving clubs in the world when you don’t quite middle a shot – and sadly that is a common occurence for many of us.

It seems, however, Wilson have recognised this and now launched the FYbrid HS. The HS stands for heavy sole which means there is more weight deeper and lower than its predecessor and the result is designed to be easier to hit and more forgiving.

So does it do what it says on the tin? TG equipment editor David Connor and instruction editor Joel Tadman have had the club out on the range to find out and you can see what they thought in the video below.
