Makeover for Titleist AP1 and AP2 irons

Titleist have given their AP1 and AP2 irons a makeover for 2010 with improvements in feel, forgiveness and shot control.

Both AP (advanced performance) irons are designed to provide performance without compromising on feel and feature a dual cavity design and multi-material construction.

Changes to the Titleist AP1 irons include reducing the face thickness to move more weight around the head while the changes to the Titleist AP2 irons are more subtle.

Zach Johnson, Nick Watney and Ben Curtis have already started playing with the AP2’s.

Both clubs are both available from November 1, 2009.

Suggested retail prices for the Titleist AP1 irons are £80 (steel) and £94 (graphite) which are a seven club set as standard (4-PW), and the Titleist AP2 irons are £102 (steel) and £116 (graphite) which are an eight club set as standard (3-PW).
