Matt Kuchar’s winning Barclays clubs

He may have broken Scottish hearts by pipping Martin Laird in a playoff at the Barclays but there can be no doubting the quality of Bridgestone player Matt Kuchar’s golf to take top spot in the FedEx cup standings.

The American’s 7-iron to a couple of feet from the left-hand rough on the first playoff hole was sublime and it followed up some terrific golf earlier in the day as he shot a 66 to get himself to 12-under par.

He will now have his sights firmly set on the $10m Fedex Cup prize before he flies over to Celtic Manor in Wales to make his Ryder Cup debut.

Here are the clubs he’ll be hoping will fire him to more fortune and glory:

DRIVER: Bridgestone J38 Prototype 435 (10°)
FAIRWAY: Tour Edge Exotics CB2 (16°)
HYBRID: Callaway Big Bertha Heavenwood (20°)
IRONS: Fourteen Golf (4 iron), Bridgestone J38 (5-PW)
WEDGES: Bridgestone J38 (52°, 58°), Fourteen MT-28 VS Forged (62°)
PUTTER: Rife Barbados
BALL: Bridgestone B330S
