TaylorMade Tour Preferred Muscle Cavity irons unveiled

Published:

The second set of irons in TaylorMade’s new forged range are the TPMC (Tour Preferred Muscle Cavity) irons – and we’ve got a lovely picture to feast your eyes on.

The set is aimed at golfers who want all the feel and aesthetics of a traditional blade design but without giving up all the forgiveness of a cavity back.

Therefore it has been designed with a degree of forgiveness in the form of a shallow muscle cavity, which allows some weight to be moved to the perimeter of the head.

But the compact head profile and five-step forging process ensures that the head still feels very traditional and blade like when striking the ball.

It also features TaylorMade’s new precision weight port which allows clubmakers to more accurately position the centre of gravity throughout the set.

We’ll have all the lowdown on the new TaylorMade forged iron range – as well as the white drivers you’ve been hearing so much about – in issue 279 of Today’s Golfer magazine on sale December 30.
