Video review: MD Seve Icon fairway wood

At Today’s Golfer we very often get letters asking what the best clubs are to buy with a specific budget and that budget is usually pretty limited.

A name that regularly crops up in our response is MD Golf because they’ve been churning out some terrific golf clubs with great components in recent years for prices that fit even the most limited of budgets.

The new MD Seve Icon fairway wood looks set to continue this trend, and what’s more it’s a fantastic looking club as well.

Retailing for £89.99, the Seve Icon fairway wood represents a big saving on some of the perceived bigger brands but to see if this price tag meant the club lacked on peformance, TG sent gear duo Jonathan Greathead and David Connor to the course to try it out.

You can see how they got on in the video below. Make sure to keep an eye out for our 2011 fairway woods test in the magazine to see how it gets on against the competition.
