Grab a free Callaway driver – if Mickelson wins the Open

Callaway have stuck their neck on the line by offering customers a free driver – if staff player Phil Mickelson wins the Open Championship at St Andrews.

The company have vowed to refund the price of any new Callaway driver – either an FTiZ, FT Tour or Diablo Edge – should the world No2 win his second, and Callaway’s third, Major of the year.

Callaway’s President of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Neil Howie, said the past two times Callaway had run a similar promotion Mickelson had gone on to win so the odds were firmly in customers’ favour.

He added: “The ‘If Phil Wins, You Win’ promotion has been a phenomenal success in the past are we’re pleased to again be offering it to consumers purchasing a driver from our 2010 range.

“Our new product line-up has been delivering victories on Tour all season and I have every confidence Phil will do his best to deliver another Major this year, especially as our loyal customers will all be cheering him on too!”

When consumers purchase a 2010 Callaway Driver from a Callaway Preferred Retailer, they will receive a scratch card that will reveal a unique reference code.

Then by visiting www.mycallaway.eu, driver owners will be able to register for the promotion by inputting the unique reference code; and by subsequently correctly answering three questions about Phil Mickelson.

If Phil should go on to win The Open Championship, all registered purchasers will then be entitled to receive a full refund.
