Video review: Nike VR STR8-Fit Tour driver

There can be no doubt that Nike’s Victory Red line of irons are some of the best looking in golf and now the company have expanded the line-up with a new range of woods.

And, as you would expect, they are draw-joppingly gorgeous to look at! Nike’s VR STR8-Fit Tour driver is at the head of the new line-up and the striking appearance is aided by the compact-looking head and the unusual bright red “compression channel” in the sole.

This channel is designed to compress uniformally wherever the ball is struck on the clubface to give more consistent ball speeds regardless of contact. The club also features Nike’s STR8-Fit technology which means the clubhead can be set in any one of 32 different positions to promote a variety of shot shapes.

But does the VR STR8-Fit Tour perform as good as it looks? Our TG gear team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor took it to the range to find out and you can see how they got on in the video below.
