Torrance goes back to his roots

Former Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance has rejoined equipment brand John Letters of Scotland, nearly 40 years after he signed his first contract with them.

Torrance has captured 43 professional wins in a sparkling career that has also seen him play in eight Ryder Cups and skipper the side to victory at the Belfry.

“It’s lovely, I’m back to my roots. The first contract I ever had was with John Letters and I signed that at the end of 1971,” he said.

The agreement will see the Scot represent John Letters on the Seniors Tours Worldwide over the coming years.
