It’s big, it’s black – it’s PING’s new i15 driver! This is the first driver PING have engineered specifically for the better player with a centre of gravity slightly higher and closer to the face for a more penetrating ball flight.
But, being a PING driver it is forgiving enough to be of use in even the most erratic of amateurs – hence why we’ve given it to TG’s equipment duo of Jonathan Greathead and David Connor to try out.
The i15 bagged a gold award in our drivers test in the current issue (on sale April 20, 2010) and finished in second place out of 36 drivers tested.
