Brand new Mizuno JPX Series wedges unveiled

Published:

To complement the launch of their their JPX-800 irons, Mizuno have created a new line of JPX Series game-improver wedges.

The JPX Series wedge is designed to follow on from the JPX-800 irons – or any other game-improvement set of irons. They are slightly oversize to inspire confidence and to make the transition from a larger cavity-back PW easier.

They also feature stronger lofts – starting at 49° – to fit in with the modern trend of stronger-lofted irons throughout the bag.

In terms of technology, the cavity back obviously spreads weight around the perimeter for added forgiveness but to reduce the impact of the wider sole, the sole has been triple cut for a beveled leading a trailing edge and rounded middle to make it play narrower for more versatility.

We’ll be bringing you more detail on the Mizuno JPX Series wedges in an upcoming issue of Today’s Golfer magazine.
