Nike VR Pro wedges unveiled

Nike have unveiled the brand new VR Pro wedge for 2011,as used by South African Charl Schwartzel to win the Masters at Augusta in terrific fashion.

The wedge is forged from S20C for a soft feel on full and half shots and is available in two finishes – brush oxide raw and satin chrome.

It also features Nike’s brand new X3X groove pattern on the face, which also appears on the VR Pro blade andVR Pro Combo irons.

The groove pattern is designed to minimise the effect of the nre groove regulations introduced by the R&A and the USGA last year and sees more grooves on the face spaced closer together. The grooves are also deeper than previous grooves for maximum control.

Nike athlete Charl Schwartzel had two of these in the bag at Augusta as he romped to a two shot victory, a 54 and a 60 degree model.
