Wilson FG62 irons: gear video

When it comes to better player irons, Wilson have designed the new FG62 irons to have everything the skilled golfer is looking for.

A short bladelength, classice muscleback design and thin topline all contribute to the feel and workability of the club – both aspects of the game that a better player places a premium on.

But with enhanced feel and workability you pay a price – less forgiveness. Therefore, the FG62 irons have been designed solely for the pure ball striker rather than someone looking for a bit of help on their off days.

However, Wilson say that compared to their predecessor, the FG59, the FG62 features a slightly larger head, lower muscle slot and wider cambered sole for more playability.

In the video below TG’s gear team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor take a look at the Wilson FG62 irons and see just how intimidating they might be for all but the best players in the world.
