PING G20 engineer to tee it up at US PGA Championship

For many of us it would be a dream come true to play in a Major championship. But to do so with the clubs you personally have designed would be something else. That’s what Marty Jertson will be experiencing this week.

The American is a Senior Design Engineer with PING and will tee it up with the big boys in this week’s US PGA Championship, after qualifying through a T5-placed finish at the PGA Professional National Championship in June.

Jertson was instrumental in the recently-launched PING G20 range, and he will be hoping the clubs’ famed forgiveness will help power him to a good display at the Atlanta Athletic club.

Jertson will be using a G20 driver as he competes in the final Major of the year, as well as the very-forgiving G20 irons which have been designed for a high, powerful ball flight and unerring accuracy.

The 30-year-old will also put a G20 fairway wood into play, as well as PING’s Tour-S wedges in the Rustique finish.

INFORMATION: Want to see PING’s star engineer in action this week? He tees off with Richard Green and Hiroyuki Fujita at 1755 BST.
