Callaway launch first adjustable driver – the RAZR Fit

Callaway have entered the realm of the adjustable driver with the RAZR Fit – the first in the company’s history to feature an adjustable face angle and moveable weights.
The hotly anticipated driver is the result of years of product development from Callaway’s R&D team, who say the engineering issues that an adjustable driver throws into the equation are significant.
Therefore, Callaway say they have waited until these issues could be overcome before releasing an adjustable driver.
The RAZR Fit driver features the same revolutionary forged composite crown seen in theRAZR Hawk and this material, which is lighter and stronger than titanium, allows Callaway to introduce the extra weight of the adjustable hosel without adversely affecting performance.
The adjustability comes in the form of two OptiFit weight screws – 12g and 2g – which can be moved into the heel and the toe. The hosel also features three settings – open neutral and closed – to adjust the face angle and loft.
The face is a combination of Callaway’s previous variable face thickness (VFT) and Hyperbolic Face Technology – both of which allow faster ball speeds across more of the face for more forgivness.
Lastly, the RAZR Fit driver features Streamline Surface Technology, which Callaway say reduces drag by 27 per cent compared to the RAZR Hawk driver.
