Nike Method Core Drone putter: video first look

Published:

Golf these days is a game of extremes with golfers and manufacturers prepared to go to any length to improve performance – and the new Nike Method Core Drone is a fine example of that.

If you are a traditionalist it’s likely you’re not going to be a fan of the Method Core Drone but if it is holed putts you are after then Nike say it could be the answer.

It is unashamedly big but this is done to move as much weight as possible to the extremities of the head to reduce the head twisting (thanks to a high MOI) on off-centre hits.

But it still features Nike’s Polymetal Groove insert in the face to improve feel and feedback on all putts. Nike athlete Stewart Cink has been practicing with the Drone while Suzanne Patterson has gone one better and won with it on Tour.

Watch the video below to see the first impressions of TG’s gear team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor as they discuss the Nike Method Core Drone putter.
