Nike's new VR-S irons are designed to give the maximum amount of forgiveness and playability to higher-handicap golfers but as usual with Nike they have also placed huge importance on the aesthetic value.
They have been introduced to replace the SQ Machspeed irons which offered excellent forgiveness but didn't have the aesthetic appeal that other irons on the market had.
The VR-S irons feature the same Powerbow technology as the SQ Machspeed irons, which pulls weight away from the face for a higher launch. But they also feature Nike's new NexCOR face design which dramatically improves ball speeds on off-centre strikes.
