Tiger Woods in the bag: Winning Chevron Challenge clubs

Love him or loathe him, he gets people talking about the game and Tiger Woods winning at the Chevron Challenge has created a real buzz ahead of the 2012 season.

There have obviously been a few changes in his swing and in his own mind as he won for the first time since 2009 but there have also been a few changes in the bag as well.

Woods has been using the brand new Nike VR Pro Limited Edition fairway woods as well as putting a “game-improver” iron in his bag in the form of a new Nike VR Pro S Forged three iron to complement his Nike VR Pro Blades.

The additional forgiveness in the cavity-back three iron gives him more margin for error than a traditional three iron but with a more penetrating ball flight than an equivalent hybrid.

He also continues to chop and change his putter, preferring the Nike Method 001 model to the Scotty Cameron, which has helped him win 13 of his 14 Majors.

In his bag:

DRIVER: Nike VR Pro (8.5°)
FAIRWAY WOODS: Nike VR Pro Limited Editon (15°, 19°)
IRONS: Nike Forged VR-S Forged (3 iron), VR Pro Blades (4-PW)
WEDGES:Nike VR (56°), VR Pro (60°)
PUTTER: Nike Method 001
BALL: Nike Tour D
