Nike 20XI golf ball: video feature

Nike’s new 20XI ball has been causing a bit of a storm among golf gear geeks because Nike say it will change the way golf balls are manufactured from now on.
The story in both the new 20XI-s and 20XI-x balls is the core. It has been formulated from a brand new resin rather than rubber, which makes the centre extremely lightweight, allowing heavier materials to be used on the outside. The result is that it has, in effect, the same kind of MOI (forgiveness) as you see in driver and iron clubheads.
We’re still waiting on a firm launch date for the new balls but to whet your appetite further we’ve managed to get a hold of this video from Nike showing their R&D team and their Tour athletes talking about the new ball.
