Yonex EZONE driver: Video Review

Yonex are set to launch their new EZONE driver, that has been designed with extensive input from teen-sensation Ryo Ishikawa.

The Japanese starlet, who fired a 12-under-par round of 58 at The Crowns event last year, has worked with engineers on the product that he hopes will give him additional yardage off the tee as he looks to progress his career even further.

The driver features Yonex’s revolutionay Core Centre of Gravity technology that essentially expands the size of the sweetspot so it is now more of a “sweet zone”.

There are two different models available – golfers can buy either the Type 450 which is a larger offering that gives more forgiveness or the Type 420 which would suit the better player looking for more workability.

Senior Equipment Editor Jon Greathead and Golf World Editor Chris Jones managed to get their hands on one at the PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day in Orlando.

Watch the video to see how they got on.
