Callaway Razr X Forged irons released

Published:

Callaway have unveiled their new Razr X Forged irons aimed at very low handicappers – and they’ll be hoping they have just as much success on Tour as their predecessors.

The new Razr X Forged irons are the follow up to the impressive X Forged model which performed fantastically in the hands of Callaway Tour players, including ex-staffer Graeme McDowell who used them to win the US Open in 2010.

Callaway haven’t tried to reinvent the wheel with the Razr X Forged irons and have instead opted for some subtle changes to enhance performance.

In addition to the thin topline, narrow sole and short blade length seen in the previous X Forged model, the new irons have a higher squared-off toe and a sharper leading edge for precision ball striking.

They are made with a triple net forging process which ensures extremely tight tolerances. The grooves are also 30 per cent more tightly spaced than conventional grooves for enhanced control.

The set carries an RRP of £799.
