Cobra S3 Pro irons: video review

Cobra have launched their brand new S3 Pro irons for 2011 aimed at giving better players the best of both worlds in terms of playability and control.

The set comprises shallow cavity backs in the long and mid irons with pure muscle backs in the shorter irons. Cobra made the move to combine their previous Pro MB and Pro CB sets into one because of the number of Tour players combining the irons in their bags.

However, despite the added forgiveness in the longer irons these clubs are still aimed purely at better players and confident ball strikers given the compact head.

To see just how good a player you have to be to use these irons TG’s equipment team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor took them to Oundle GC in Northamptonshire for a test drive on a cold day. Sore fingers were predicted. To see how they got on watch the video below.
