TaylorMade unveil new white R11 driver

Published:

TaylorMade have launched their new R11 driver for the forthcoming season – and it’s white, packed full of adjustability and something totally unique.

We’ve got the full story in the new edition of Today’s Golfer magazine – look out for a very white cover – but we are able to give you a brief run down of the product online too.

On the back of a successful first year with the Ghost putter series, which are also white, TaylorMade engineers designed the white-headed driver in order to improve your game.

The head is easier to align and because the colour white reflects more light into your eyes, the image is sharper and more precise, especially when you consider that a white head contrasts more steeply with the green grass than a black head would.

As you might expect from TaylorMade’s flagship product for the start of the new year, the R11 features a new level of adjustability. In addition to the Movable Weight Technology which has been around for a while now, the new product features Adjustable Sole Plate technology.

This means that as well as adjusting where the weight in the head is positioned, golfers can also adjust the face angle and loft too. The previous R9 driver featured this innovation too, but loft and lie were changed together – with the new ASP technology you can alter lie and loft independently from each other, meaning even more custom options.

TaylorMade have also stuck to their guns with the white head in the R11 fairways and rescues too – both feature the same technology as the driver.

INFORMATION: The new R11 driver will retail at £329, while the fairway woods and hybrids will retail at £199 and £149 respectively.
