Callaway gear powers Jacobson to maiden PGA Tour title

Freddie Jacobson saw off the challenge of Ryan Moore at the Travelers Championship, and there were a few surprises in the Swede’s winning bag.
Lots of top Tour players prefer the look and feel of a more-traditional bladed iron, but Jacobson instead chose to use Callaway’s excellent Diablo Forged irons, that feature a slightly thicker topline and a tad more forgiveness than lots of “better player” irons.
The three-time European Tour winner also used Callaway’s Diablo Octane driver and fairway wood, as well as another Diablo Octane Tour fairway.
Around the greens he relied on the X Forged wedges, and then holed out with an Odyssey Black Series i no.1 putter.
Jacobson’s final-round of 66 was too good for American Moore, who bogeyed the last to lose out by a solitary stroke in Connecticut.
