Molinari to show Inter colours at BMW Italian Open

Italian golfer Francesco Molinari will show his allegiance to Inter Milan at this week’s BMW Italian Open by donning Nike golf apparel complete with the Nerazzurri’s branding.

The new outfit has been launched by Nike to celebrate its sponsorship and support of football clubs throughout Europe.

Molinari, who will wear the outfit on one of the opening two days at Royal Park in Turin, said; “I love the idea of being able to show off your sporting allegiances in other contexts, but I’m sure I’m going to get a bit of stick from my brother as he’s a Juventus fan.”

In addition to the logoed Dri-Fit Tech polo shirt, the Ryder Cup hero will also be wearing a pair of Inter Milan-logoed Nike Lunar Control shoes.

Nike will be introducing more football-branded apparel and shoes this autumn, with teams such as Manchester United, Barcelona, Juventus and Celtic also being featured. A range of carry bags, complete with club logo, will also be available.

INFORMATION: The new gear will be available from November – for more details please visit www.nikestore.com
