Cleveland CG16 Wedge: Tech video

Cleveland’s wedges are legendary in the world of golf and their latest CG16 product looks like it’s going to continue this fine tradition.

With the new groove rules in place for manufacturers, Cleveland engineers started to make improvements on the face.

The result was the Laser Milled process which makes the surface of the wedge rougher, and that helps to generate more spin and more control.

The popular CG15 wedge is still in the Cleveland arsenal, but the new CG16 is a touch more forgiving as it was designed with a small undercut which stretches the centre of gravity deeper to enhance performance.

We spoke to Cleveland wedge specialist Scott Carlyle about the new wedge at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. To see what he had to say, watch the video below.
