John Letters unveils new Masters Model iron

John Letters have released their latest irons in the form of the Masters Model – a modern recreation of the set Fred Daly used to win the 1947 Open Championship.

The John Letters brand is undergoing something of a resurgence back to the upper echelons of the game after a few years in the wilderness and the Masters Model irons are further evidence of this.

The irons are designed as better-player clubs and have been forged from 8620 mild carbon steel for an ultra-soft feel. However, there is also a slimline cavity in the back of the head to provide a touch of forgiveness – something even the best players in the world are looking for these days.

The hand-crafted Masters Model will be assembled in the new John Letters workshop in St Andrews and golfers can customise and personalise the iron heads with different paint options as well as custom-fitting variances such as loft, lie and shaft preference.

The irons will retail at £599.99 for a 3-PW set. For details visit www.johnletters.com
