Nike Method Core putter launched

Nike have launched their new premium putter range for 2011 in the form of the stylish Method Core series.

Building on the success of the Tour-proven Method putters, the new Core range combines a soft polymer and milled steel grooves to generate faster and more consistent roll at impact.

The original Method putter featured polymetal grooves that were designed to put topspin on the ball at impact and reduce initial skidding and a more controlled forward movement.

This year’s series features an insert that lessens vibrations and feeds back a purer sound, helping enhance the feel on a variety of putts, say Nike.

There is no question the first series of Method putters had their fair share of success with Stewart Cink and Lucas Glover winning the Open and US Open respectively before the putter had even gone on general release.

They have so far recorded 12 Tour victories and the Method 003 has even been making appearances in the bag of the great Tiger Woods.

As for the Core range, it will consist of five models, including three blade styles, a centre-shafted mid mallet and a heel-shafted mallet.

They will retail at £120 and are available from March 2011.
