Wilson FYbrid RS range launched to fill the gaps

After the ascent of hybrids Wilson Staff were one of the first manufacturers in the game to set about making the transition from fairway woods to hybrids more seamless and the new FYbrid RS is their latest offering.
The FYbrid range has always been about the process of blending fairway woods and hybrids into a seamless line-up by offering progressive head shapes from 15 to 27 degrees.
The new FYbrid RS range carries on this mantle and introduces three new technologies which Wilson Staff say will further transform your game.
The RS name comes from Rocker Sole technology which features a rounded sole profile which creates a symmetrical look at address allowing the golfer to focus solely on the sweetspot in the centre of the clubface.
Material has also been removed from the heel and toe to make it easier for the club to glide over turf, particularly on sloping lies, while a dual rail sole also helps in this regard.
The clubs also feature what Wilson Staff call three-zone face technology which increases the spring area in the heel and toe for greater ball speeds on mishits.
Bob Thurman, Wilson Staff’s director of R&D, said: The new Rocker Sole technology in the RS range helps get the ball airborne and builds precise distance gapping among long-range clubs.”
The FYbrid RS series are available in 3-wood (15), 5-wood (19.5), 3H (21), 4H (24) and 5H (27), priced at £109 per club.
