Nike Golf powers Swede Pettersson to RBC Heritage win

Carl Pettersson won his first PGA Tour event since 2010 at this weekend’s RBC Heritage, and was helped on his way by a new Method prototype belly putter.
The 34-year-old finished on 14-under-par, five shots clear of former Masters winner Zach Johnson.
Pettersson’s display on the greens on Saturday was impressive – he made five birdies in a row on the front nine, and he kept the scintillating putting display up on the final day.
The Swede started the ball rolling with a birdie from all of 25 feet at the first, and followed that up with two more at the fourth and fifth.
Overnight challenger Colt Knost suffered a collapse on Sunday though, carding a 74 to finish on eight-under.
The victory was the fifth of Pettersson’s career and it saw him equal Jesper Parnevik’s Swedish win-record on the PGA Tour.
In addition to the new Method putter, Pettersson used Nike’s VR Pro STR8-Fit driver and VR Pro hybrid.
He also used a combination of VR_S Forged irons and Nike’s VR Pro Combo irons – he relied on the VR Pro Forged wedges and Nike’s new 20XI S ball.
