Bradley powers to WGC victory in Ohio

US PGA Champion Keegan Bradley enjoyed the perfect preparation for the defence of his title later this week by winning the WGC Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio.

Compatriot Jim Furyk looked certain to win his first tournament for two years, but a double-bogey at the 72nd hole handed Bradley the win after he holed a 15-footer for par at the last.

Bradley, 24, was using a wide range of Cleveland gear, including the Cleveland Classic driver and a Launcher fairway wood.

He relied in the forgiveness of the CG7 Tour irons, and the brand’s fabulous 588 Forged wedges.

Bradley also used the Srixon Z-Star ball on his way to a four-round total of 13-under-par.

Britons Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy finished on eight-under-par, with former Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen two back from Bradley on 11-under.

The Tour heads to Kiawah Island this week for the final Major of the year.
