TG’s Demo Day Is Back!

The Today’s Golfer Demo Day is back in 2012, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. This year’s edition on August 27th at The Belfry will see 2010 RE/MAX Long Drive Champion Joe Miller giving out his long hitting tips, a two-hour clinic and Q&A with European Tour winner Graeme Storm, the chance to hit the latest golf gear, a tour of Ping’s tour truck, plus much more.

The Bank Holiday Monday extravaganza will start at 9am, as Long Drive Champion Miller attempts to drive the famous 18th on the Brabazon Course, before then turning his efforts to beating the public. Here, four lucky TG competition winners will take Miller on in the Callaway Long Drive Challenge. The challenge will pit TG winners against Miller on the Belfry’s signature 10th hole, as they go for the green.

The Callaway Ambassador will then also host a Long Drive Clinic for one hour in The Belfry’s PGA National Golf Academy, where golfers of all abilities will learn the technical secrets behind long driving.

The Belfry’s PGA National Golf Academy will be turned over exclusively for our Demo Day, with a two-hour clinic and Q&A with European Tour winner Graeme Storm at 10am next on the agenda.

Golfers will also have the chance to try out the very latest clubs free of charge and have custom-fit sessions with PING, Callaway, TaylorMade, Mizuno, Cobra, Nike and Wilson Staff. PING’s tour truck will also be on-site, giving visitors the chance to see where a technician custom fits clubs for star players like Lee Westwood and Miguel Angel Jiménez.

“The TG Demo Day was a big success when it made its debut at The Belfry last year and it promises to be even bigger this time around,” said Today’s Golfer senior equipment editor Jon Greathead. “As well as trying out the latest clubs from the very best manufacturers for free, there’s a one-off chance to get up close to some real stars at a venue that has something for everyone.”

Every visitor who books their place will be able to enter long drive, closest to the pin and putting competitions inside the Academy. They’ll receive a free Academy membership worth £50, including a discount on balls for a year.

Golfers can also take up an exclusive ‘Stay & Play’ deal that involves playing the world-famous Brabazon course on the Sunday, enjoying an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast, plus another round of golf on The Derby course on the Monday afternoon following on from the Demo Day – all for £160.

Limited spaces are still available for golfers to book individual 30-minute custom-fit slots at the Demo Day or take up an exclusive ‘Stay & Play’ package by calling 0300 500 0401 and quoting ‘TG Demo Day’.
