Video Review: MD Golf Superstrong ST3 Range

In this video TG’s Senior Equipment Ediot Jonathan Greathead casts his eye over the new MD Golf ST3 range.

MD Golf are renowned for their quality feel and cheap price, and the ST3 range are no different.

They feature a stunning black head, a high MOI, low and deep centre of gravity and a high, powerful launch.

The fairway wood and hybrids – an absolute bargain at less than £75 per club – offered similarly impressive performances to the driver. Like the driver, both feature a tungsten weight screw in the sole to lower the centre of gravity for a higher ball flight, but the hybrid was a real stand-out performer.

All three woods feature a super colourful yellow Proforce 65 shaft that screams ‘premium product’.

Last year’s MD irons secured a podium finish in the ‘Game Improver’ section of our annual irons test, seeing off higher-profile and considerably more expensive models. The new ones look to be a step up once again; although they are still very much aimed at golfers looking to be more consistent with their iron play, they appear sleeker and are certainly easier
on the eye.
