Hunter Mahan in the bag: Winning WGC Matchplay clubs

Hunter Mahan banished any post-Ryder Cup Matchplay demons he may have had with a stunning victory at the Accenture WGC Matchplay in Arizona.
The American, who lost the final point in Europe’s Ryder Cup win at Celtic Manor in 2010, was in scintillating form all week at Dove Mountain, making the most birdies of any player in the field enroute to victory over Rory McIlroy in the final.
He was also one of three Ping players to make the final four at the first WGC event of the year alongside Lee Westwood and Mark Wilson.
