Callaway Hex Chrome golf ball: video interview

Published:

Callaway’s new Hex Chrome golf ball has been billed by the company as a Tour-level ball for moderate swing speeds.

Golfers with moderate swing speeds have often had to make a compromise somewhere in their game with the ball they play. A softer feeling ball might cost them distance off the tee while a harder ball could limit spin and feel around the greens.

But Callaway believe the Hex Chrome will help because it features the same thermoplastic urethane cover on their Tour ball, the Hex Black Tour, for better greenside feel and spin while still maintaining distance off the tee for moderate swing speeds.

It all sounds pretty complicated so to get more information TG’s equipment editor David Connor spoke to Steve Ogg, Callaway’s vice president of Golf Ball Design about the Hex Chrome Ball.
