New Callaway Forged wedges: video interview

Since the change of groove rule in 2010 the design of the grooves on the face of wedges has become even more important and with the new Forged wedge for 2012, Callaway believe they have it cracked.
They’ve developed a unique 21 groove pattern which features on the face of both the new Forged wedge and the current X-Series Jaws model. They say that more grooves means more edges and therefore more spin.
But while the Forged wedge and the X-Series Jaws wedge share the same groove pattern, there are key differences between the two models. To find out more TG’s equipment editor David Connor spoke to Callaway’s senior vice president Dr Alan Hocknell about the new wedge range.
