TaylorMade launch next generation of Penta golf balls

TaylorMade have unveiled their new Penta TP5 and Penta TP3 golf balls, ahead of the new golfing season.

Two years ago they launched the first five-piece golf ball, and now they’ve made some key improvements to their new model, as well as introducing a three-piece Penta TP3.

“The Penta TP5 was created for our Tour pros, yet it’s a great ball for every level of player,” said John Kawaja, TaylorMade Executive Vice President.

“You don’t need to have a fast swing speed to achieve excellent distance with the Penta TP5. Golfers will also benefit from the same high greenside spin they have become accustomed to with the original Penta TP,” he added.

The enhancement in performance comes from a core compression that is 28% lower than the predecessor, which results in lower driver spin for more distance and improved softer feel.

The Penta TP3 has been designed to increase spin without sacrificing distance, especially in the long and mid irons.

The new Penta TP5 will retail at £44.99 per dozen, while the three-piece TP3 will be available at £36.99 per dozen. Both models go on sale from February 3.
