Callaway unveils new state-of-the-art Tour truck

Callaway have unveiled their new state-of-the-art Tour truck that will provide their army of players with everything they need to compete for the game’s biggest prizes.

The new vehicle, which tips the scales at over 33,000kg, will be kitted out with 4,500 grips, 2,100 shafts, 1,800 golf balls, 350 wood heads, 600 white golf gloves and 1,000 golf towels.

Callaway players and caddies have their own reception area, which contains a dedicated locker for each golfer where they can access their hats, shoes, gloves and balls for that week’s play.

The truck will travel around Europe under the supervision of the company’s Tour Technician Supervisor Paul Monks – the equipment on board will allow the players to make any changes to their bags they want to ahead of the tournament.

“The Callaway Tour Truck is an essential part of the support we offer our Staff Professionals and is always a hub of activity,” he said.

“When we are travelling from event-to-event (up to 20 a year), driving to countries like Spain, Sweden, Wales or Germany, our main objective is to cater for every need of the tour player as rapidly, accurately and efficiently as possible.”

In addition to the latest Callaway equipment, the truck will also carry 96 cans of Diet Coke, 1,150 tea bags and…..two boxes of Bran Flakes!
