New VR_S Covert game-improver irons launched by Nike Golf

Game-improver irons have, historically, been sizeable units – but now Nike might have just helped to change things with the launch of their new VR_S Covert irons.

The cavity back design remains, but it’s the look at address that is the most impressive thing in terms of aesthetics about the new irons. The topline isn’t overly thick, and even the longer irons look sleek.

The clubs incorporate the NexCOR face technology that was the driving force behind last year’s impressive VR_S range, which gives golfers impressive distances from a greater area of the face.

“Distance, control, and consistency are the keys to successful golf shots,” said Nike Golf Director of Club Creation, Tom Stites.

“We combined a High Speed Cavity Back, NexCOR technology, and a dual bevel sole to maximise distance for every club in the bag. Golfers will notice positive improvements not only on crisp shots, but on off-centre shots as well,” he added.

RRP: £449.99 (s) and £519.99 (g).
