Justin Rose Opens TaylorMade Performance Lab In Turkey

World number five Justin Rose officially opened a new TaylorMade Performance Lab at Carya in Turkey this week.

The Lab allows golfers to have quality one-on-one time with a fitting specialist as they conduct a thorough evaluation of the player’s set-up, swing and impact dynamics. The results help to improve golfer’s swing faults and fit the right specification clubs.

Critical to the Lab is the MAT-T system, an innovative tool exclusive to TaylorMade that gathers vital swing data using multiple high-speed cameras and specially designed software.

MAT-T distils the information to create a three-dimensional computer-animated swing image that’s viewable from every angle. It executes a multitude of calculations and measurements which are used to create an in-depth set of personal, data-driven recommendations for every club in the bag.

The second step of a fitting is a FlightScope X2 analysis, where the MAT-T findings are validated. This leading “Doppler radar” technology in golf analyses the launch condition including ball speed, launch angle and spin rate and combined with the MAT-T system provides the fitter with full information to recommend a full set.

The centre joins TaylorMade’s other high-tech Labs such as the ones at Wentworth, England; Turnberry, Scotland; Al Badia, Dubai and the PGA Of Sweden National, Sweden.

Opening times: 8am – 6pm 7 days a week.
Cost: €250 for 14 clubs which includes a polo shirt and one dozen golf balls, or €100 for a driver fitting.
