Rose Wins Using New Prototype TaylorMade Ball

Justin Rose claimed the first victory for TaylorMade’s new prototype ball, the Project 5, at the Turkish World Golf Finals last week.

The new prototype premium ball got off to a dream start in the hands on the world number five and while TG currently knows no further details, expect another exciting TaylorMade product to hit the shelves some time in 2013.

Rose went unbeaten during the eight-man matchplay event, including a course record 62 against Webb Simpson in the group stages.

The Englishman started using the Project 5 at the Deutsche Bank Championship in September, after testing it during a pro-am and being blown away by its performance benefits.

He will hope that the new ball will help him improve his 2012 stats that include a driving distance average of 290.9 yards (87th) and an accuracy percentage of 65.82% (25th); while maintaining his incredible ball striking rate of 70.34% greens in regulation (1st) and his scoring average of 69.549 (7th).
