Kangol And Samuel L. Jackson Team Up To Launch Hat Range

Kangol has announced it latest collaboration for Spring 2013, KAangol Golf by Samuel L. Jackson.
Celebrating 75 years of quality and style in 2013, the partnership with the actor and golfer is an exciting one for the brand, and a natural progression since Jackson is a longtime Kangol devotee. He worked closely with Kangol design team to personally select each of the heritage shapes and fabrics within the collection.

We’ve been able to combine Kangol’s rich heritage with P2i’s innovative water-repellent technology, and Samuel L. Jackson’s love of golf and the Kangol brand to create a truly unique collection unlike any other in the headwear market”, says Sean Leon, Kangol Global Marketing Director.
Kangol’s golf collaborations have evolved since their first partnership with Arnold Palmer in the 1960’s, but the brand continues to honor its deep roots in the history of the sport.
The Lahinch and Spey, two style names within the collection, were first selected in the 60’s and taken from the famous Irish and Scottish golf courses where golf was born, not far from Kangol’s birthplace in Cumbria, England.
While the Samuel L. Jackson collection offers nods to Kangol’s history, it also incorporates ultra-modern performance treatments. The refined Heritage styles feature P2i’s revolutionary, liquid-repellent ion-mask technology, which provides an undetectable coating, causing liquids to bead up and roll off the hats.
The range of hats incorporates Samuel L. Jackson’s personal touches through the use of his favorite colors, purple and yellow. The SLJ Jacquard print on the P2i Golf Spitfire was inspired by a vintage hat from Samuel’s personal KANGOL hat collection to create his own unique print.
All hats in the range contain an interior “Kangol Golf by Samuel L. Jackson” woven label.
