Stability Equals Power With New Mizuno Genem Elite Shoes

Mizuno has announced an evolution of its Infinity Wave plate Golf Shoe – the Genem Elite and Genem DryStyle.

The premium golf shoes – available in May – combine the feel of a fine grain leather upper, with the powerful stable swing base of Mizuno’s Infinity Wave plate and IG4 spikes.

The Mizuno Genem DryStyle features the same sole technology as the Elite, with a high end Japanese synthetic upper.

The Infinity Wave plate is drawn from Mizuno’s renowned running technology, producing the stable, durable cushioning needed to avoid foot fatigue on long rounds.

The plate configuration has the added advantage of inbuilt lateral stability, creating a powerful golfing platform, which is also aided by an additional lateral rib structure and forefoot stabilizers.

A new rounded heel support, lifts and cradles the foot, while thicker forefoot padding reduces pressure to the areas most stressed through the swing.

Mizuno’s Mito Yozawa explains: “Our Wave technology has been the driving force behind Mizuno’s rising popularity amongst serious runners for the last ten years.  Unlike previous cushioning technologies, the Wave plate also has inherent natural stability and maintains its performance over a longer period.

“A reconfiguration to suit golf meant that the same Wave technology can give a really well cradled, supported fit for the long walk round a golf course.  At the same time it stops any lateral movement – storing all your swing power from the base up.”
