TaylorMade reveal SLDR 430

TaylorMade has revealed a 430cc version of its SLDR driver. It features a tour-inspired head that is shorter from front to back, but with the same charcoal-grey colour and details on the crown. The smaller clubhead will enhance the golfer’s ability to shape the ball off the tee.

It boasts the same technology that made SLDR the No.1 driver on Tour within four weeks of release, including a low-forward centre of gravity, the 21-position sliding weight and adjustable loft up to 1.5° either way
via the hosel.

“We put low-forward centre of gravity in a smaller head to make a driver that Tour pros love,” said Brian Bazzel, Senior Director of Product Creation.

Justin Rose is just one of many TaylorMade staff players testing the more compact SLDR. A Fujikura Speeder 67 shaft as standard provides feel and playability.

Details: RRP £349, TP version £399. Available in 9.5°, 10.5° and 12° lofts. www.taylormadegolf.com
