In this video TG’s Features Writer Kit Alexander speaks to Callaway’s John McHenry about the new X-Hot hybrid after testing the club at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
Tne new X-Hot fairway woods have helped give long-hitting Alvaro Quiros an additional 18 yards, and the hybrid is packed full of the same great technology.
Part of the secret lies in the Forged Speed Frame Cup Face which has been made from high strength steel – this is 40% thinner than the RAZR X Black predecessor, but with a 90% larger sweet spot.
Callaway engineers have also kept the centre of gravity low to ensure a high ball flight, and the new wave-shaped weighting design inside the head helps to increase the MOI for more forgiveness.
